The Semi-Final Heat Rounds for Miss Newcastle England 2026
Through the course of the competition, our semi-finalists will have the chance to participate in variety of heat rounds to secure their place in the Grand Final of Miss Newcastle England 2026 and get that step closer to being crowned the next Miss Newcastle.
The heat rounds for semi-finalists will incorporate all the different aspects and attributes which we are looking for in our search for the next Miss Newcastle, who will go on to represent the region in Miss England.
All these rounds are open to the semi-finalists and are completely optional to enter and compete in, however they are a great opportunity to win your place in the Grand Final of Miss Newcastle 2026 happening later this year. Some of the rounds are free to enter and others there will be a small fee to cover cost of running the round. As you will see some of the rounds such as our sponsored rounds will get you a free entry into the Grand Final, the other rounds will still require the sponsorship fee being paid. More details about this will be released in due course.

Miss Newcastle Popularity Award - Public Vote Round
The Miss Newcastle Popularity Award gives our semi-finalists the opportunity to secure a direct place in the Grand Final through public support.
Voting will take place on the official Miss England voting platform by downloading the free Miss England App from the App store, where friends, family, colleagues, and supporters can vote for their favourite contestant. Each person who has the App downloaded is entitled to one free vote per day, and there is also the option to purchase additional votes should they wish to further support a contestant.
The contestant who receives the highest number of votes by the closing date will automatically earn a place in the Miss Newcastle 2026 Grand Final.
Voting will remain open until 31st July 2026, so contestants are encouraged to share their voting link across their social media platforms and with their networks to maximise support.
To take part, all semi-finalists are required to submit one high-quality photograph which will be displayed on the voting platform alongside their profile no later than Friday 26th June

Miss Newcastle Charity Award - Supporting Tiny Lives
The Miss Newcastle Charity Award recognises the semi-finalist who raises the most money for our chosen charity partner, Tiny Lives Trust.
This year, Miss Newcastle is proud to support Tiny Lives Trust, a charity dedicated to supporting sick and premature babies and their families receiving care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
All semi-finalists will receive an email invitation to join the official Miss Newcastle 2026 Tiny Lives JustGiving campaign. Once joined, you will be able to create your own personalised fundraising page, which will be linked directly to the main Miss Newcastle 2026 fundraising campaign and rankings will be visible to all contestants and public.
Fundraising will remain open until the final of the competition, and the semi-finalist who raises the highest amount for Tiny Lives by the 8th August 2026 will win a place in the grand final of Miss Newcastle 2026. The contestant who raises the most money throughout the whole competition by the night of the final will be awarded the prestigious Miss Newcastle Charitable Award and will automatically Advance to the Top 5 in the competition.
How you choose to fundraise is entirely up to you. There are no restrictions on fundraising methods, and we encourage contestants to be creative, proactive and passionate in their efforts. Whether you organise a bake sale, sponsored challenge, raffle, community event, workplace fundraiser, social media campaign, or something completely unique, every contribution will help make a difference to families supported by Tiny Lives.
Throughout the competition, there may also be opportunities to participate in organised fundraising activities, charity events, media days, and promotional opportunities designed to raise awareness of Tiny Lives and the incredible work they do. Details of these opportunities will be shared with semi-finalists in due course via email and via Whatsapp.
Fundraising is not only an opportunity to compete for an award, but also a chance to make a meaningful impact within our local community and support a charity that changes lives every day.

Miss Newcastle Talent Round
The Miss Newcastle Talent Round is an opportunity for semi-finalists to showcase a unique skill, talent, or passion and demonstrate what makes them stand out.
For this round, each semi-finalist will be required to submit a video of themselves performing or demonstrating a talent of their choice. The video will then be assessed by the Miss Newcastle judging panel, who will be looking for creativity, confidence, skill, originality, and overall presentation.
There are no restrictions on the type of talent you choose to showcase. Your talent can be anything you are passionate about or skilled in. Whether it is singing, dancing, playing a musical instrument, public speaking, acting, painting, baking, sports, magic, fitness, content creation, a cultural performance, or something completely unique, we want to see what makes you special.
This round is designed to celebrate individuality and give every contestant the chance to share a side of themselves that may not be seen during other stages of the competition.
The winner of the Talent Round will secure an automatic place in the Miss Newcastle 2026 Grand Final.
The deadline for all Talent Round submissions is Monday 20th July 2026 via e-mail or whatsapp please make sure the video is high quality, good lighting and sound and introduce yourself at the beggining of the video accompanied by a breif explaination as to what you will be doing for your talent entry.
We encourage all contestants to think creatively, have fun with their submission, and use this opportunity to showcase the talent that makes them unique. We may invite some of the top Entrants to preform live at the Miss Newcastle Grand final and post these entrants to our social media and documentry so portrait is great for social media and landscape also if your happy to have this included.

Miss Newcastle Photogenic Round
The Miss Newcastle Photogenic Heat Round is designed to recognise the semi-finalist who demonstrates exceptional confidence, photographic presence and the strongest ability to connect with the camera.
Proudly led by our Official In-House Photographer, Anfi Denysenko, this professionally directed studio photoshoot has been created to provide every contestant with the opportunity to experience working in a premium photography environment while showcasing their individuality, confidence and versatility.
Unlike a traditional photoshoot, this heat round is not judged on appearance alone. Contestants will be assessed on their ability to work confidently with the photographer through posing, facial expression, confidence, personality and their overall photographic presence.
To ensure complete fairness, every contestant will be photographed under identical professional studio conditions using the same lighting, camera settings and primary backdrop. This allows judging to focus entirely on each contestant's photogenic ability rather than external factors such as weather, lighting or location.
The primary judging photographs will be captured against a clean white seamless backdrop using professional beauty lighting to create a timeless editorial aesthetic. Additional editorial-style images may also be taken throughout the session, allowing contestants to showcase their personality, confidence and versatility in front of the camera.
Contestants are asked to wear either an elegant black or white evening gown, creating a sophisticated, cohesive look that reflects the premium branding and visual identity of Miss Newcastle.
Every contestant will receive two professionally edited high-resolution images included within their entry fee, providing lasting professional photographs from the experience. Additional image packages will also be available for those wishing to purchase more photographs following the shoot.
All selected images will receive professional beauty retouching while maintaining a natural, authentic representation of each contestant.
This heat round also provides contestants with an excellent opportunity to gain valuable modelling and pageant experience, build confidence in front of the camera and create a portfolio of beautiful professional images.
The winner of the Miss Newcastle Photogenic Heat Round will receive a guaranteed sponsored place in the Miss Newcastle 2026 Grand Final, meaning no further sponsorship fee will be required to compete at the Grand Final.
Further information regarding the studio venue, allocated time slots and final event arrangements will be provided following confirmation of entries.

Miss Newcastle Bare-Face Round
The Miss Newcastle Bare Face Round celebrates confidence, authenticity, and natural beauty. This free-to-enter virtual round encourages contestants to embrace and showcase their true selves without filters, editing, or makeup 1 Photograph is the minimum entry requirement but you may also include multiple and or a Video of yourself on the carrousel.
To enter, semi-finalists are required to post a recent bare-face photograph of themselves on their social media platform of choice but MUST include instagram. The image must be completely unedited and taken without any makeup. Contestants must also invite us to collaborate on official Miss Newcastle Instagram page, @missnewcastle_england, to ensure their entry is recognised and Tag our valued Sponsors and Partners.
The purpose of this round is to promote self-confidence, self-acceptance, and the message that beauty comes in many forms. The judging panel will be looking for contestants who demonstrate confidence, authenticity, and a positive attitude while embracing their natural appearance.
The deadline for all Bare Face Round entries is Friday 24th July 2026.
The winner of the Miss Newcastle Bare Face Round will secure an automatic place in the Miss Newcastle 2026 Grand Final.

Miss Newcastle Caelian House Skin Care Round
The Miss Newcastle Caelian House Skin Care Round is proudly presented in partnership with Caelian House, the Official Aesthetics Partner of Miss Newcastle 2026.
Founded and led by Dr Alex Clark, Medical Director of Caelian House, this round has been created to highlight the importance of healthy skin, self-care, and preventative skin care. Dr Clark has a particular passion for skin health and helping individuals develop effective, long-term skin care routines.
For this round, semi-finalists are required to create and post a video to their Instagram account explaining their personal skin care routine. Contestants should discuss the products, habits, and practices they use to maintain healthy skin, while also mentioning Caelian House within their video.
To qualify, contestants must post their video on Instagram and invite @CaelianHouse to collaborate and the official Miss Newcastle Instagram page @missnewcastle_england. This will allow the judging panel to review all entries and ensure they receive maximum visibility.
The deadline for all Caelian House Skin Care Round submissions is Friday 31th July 2026.
The judging panel will be looking for contestants who can confidently communicate the importance of skin care, demonstrate knowledge of their own routine, and present their content in an engaging and authentic way.
This round is designed to encourage contestants to focus on skin health, confidence, and self-care while learning more about the importance of preventative skin care and maintaining healthy skin habits.

Miss Newcastle Elite Smile Award
The Miss Newcastle Elite Smile Award is proudly sponsored by Elite Smile Studio, the Official Smile Partner of Miss Newcastle 2026.
Elite Smile Studio will be partnering with Miss Newcastle and running two competitions through the competition. The Elite Smile Award is the official semi-final heat round for which the winner of the round will automatically book their place in the Miss Newcastle Grand Final sponsored by Elite Smile Studio. The Elite Smile Confidence award will run throughout the Miss Newcastle competition, celebrating contestants who demonstrate confidence, positivity and the power of a genuine smile.
The Elite Smile Award Semi-Final Heat Round
Elite Smile Studio will sponsor one guaranteed place in the Miss Newcastle Grand Final.
The competition is open to every Miss Newcastle semi-finalist.
To be eligible, contestants must:

Attend a complimentary Elite Smile consultation (either individually or during an organised Miss Newcastle group visit) and post about their visit on social media

The two stage process ensures Elite Smile studio can select the strongest entries while allowing the public to determine the overall winner, maintaining complete fairness as Dr Nitam also serves as a judge at the Miss Newcastle Grand Final.
The Elite Smile Confidence Award
Each week contestants will have the opportunity to submit content as part of their confidence journey, including smile photographs, confidence updates and social media content.
Dr Nitam and the Elite Smile team will select a weekly Smile of the Week, recognising a contestant who best represents confidence, positivity and presence.
At the Miss Newcastle Grand Final, Dr Nitam will present the Elite Smile Confidence Award to the contestant who, across the entire competition, has best embodied the values of confidence, kindness and self-belief.
As this is a sponsor award rather than part of the official Miss Newcastle judging, the overall winner will be selected by Dr Nitam.

Miss Newcastle North East Pride Award
The Miss Newcastle North East Pride Award is a celebration of our region, our communities, and everything that makes the North East such a special place to live, work, and call home.
This free-to-enter round gives semi-finalists the opportunity to showcase their creativity while highlighting what they love most about the North East. Whether it is the people, culture, landmarks, coastline, history, sporting heritage, local businesses, charitable spirit, or community values, we want to see what makes you proud to represent our region.
To enter, semi-finalists are required to create a piece of promotional content that celebrates the North East. This can take the form of a video, reel, short film, presentation, or other creative social media content. Contestants are encouraged to think creatively and produce an entry that reflects both their personality and their passion for the region.
The completed entry should be posted to the contestant's social media platforms and emailed to us directly. Contestants should clearly communicate what they love about the North East and why it is such a fantastic place to live and visit.
The deadline for all North East Pride Award submissions is Sunday 2nd August 2026.
The judging panel will be looking for creativity, originality, passion, presentation, and how effectively contestants communicate their pride in the North East. This round is not about producing the most expensive or technically advanced content; it is about showcasing genuine enthusiasm and celebrating the best of our region.
The North East has a proud identity, rich history, and incredible communities, and this award has been created to shine a spotlight on everything that makes our corner of the country unique.
We encourage all semi-finalists to embrace this challenge, have fun with their content, and help us showcase the very best of the North East to a wider audience.
